Walter Townes, twenty-five years in collegiate athletics from the Big East to Division 3 basketball. Walter was the creator of the Knox School national basketball program while he was AD and Dean of Students.

He has also founded and ran community youth development programs and instituted alumni programs for student athletes, as well as developing new classes. He has turned around marginally performing teams that far exceeded their goals.

Also, he has written a book entitled “Comin’ Home” which focuses on the importance of education—and rising above one’s circumstances and humble beginnings!
